Fox gives pilot order to Mike Royce laffer

Mike Royce got down to business after cutting an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV, nabbing a pilot commitment for a half-hour project about an ex-con at Fox with 20th, Adelstein Prods. and Hat Trick. "Little Brother" revolves around a man who finds out he has a half-brother he never knew about who also happens to be an ex-con. Royce is writing and will exec produce with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Jimmy Mulville. Fintan Ryan will serve as a co-exec producer. Royce, the creator and exec producer of TNT's "Men of a Certain Age," inked an overall deal with 20th earlier this month (Daily Variety, Sept. 7).
