Public reopens book on 'Gatz'
Legit American-lit marathon "Gatz" is placed for any return run this spring at Off Broadway's Public Theater, in which the show converted into an unlikely crowd-magnet this past year. Elevator Repair Service's 6 1/2-hour stage version of "The Truly Amazing Gatsby," which focuses on a workplace worker who becomes engrossed in reading through the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, includes a verbatim reading through from the entire book. Scott Shepherd will reprise his role because the office manager. Regardless of the arty production's hefty running time, the show -- that has together with the nation -- grew to become a notable success in the Public and offered out its run before it opened up.
